Who owns us?
Bowmore Asset Management is a private limited business owned by its employees. We have no parent company and are free to invest independently for the benefit of our clients.
Who regulates us?
Bowmore Asset Management is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), Firm Reference Number 626431.
Who invests with us?
We can invest on behalf of private clients, trusts, charities and corporations.
How do we invest?
We take a global approach to investing. Clients of Bowmore Asset Management have multi-asset portfolios that have exposure to a variety of markets and investment vehicles, taking advantage of specific themes and opportunities in both the UK and abroad.
Do you have a performance track record?
We have an investment track record based on the performance of our strategic partner firm, Mountstone Partners Ltd. Mountstone have more than six years of performance data for a basket of different portfolios and risk profiles.
Where are my investments held?
Bowmore Asset Management (BAM) use Platform Securities LLP for trading, settlement and administration services for all client accounts. Platform Securities physically hold client assets as custodian. They report assets and current holdings to Bowmore Asset Management on a daily basis.
How do I know my investments are safe?
Platform Securities are covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) and FCA Client Asset Rules. This means that client assets must be held in accounts segregated from their own assets. In other words, they are ring-fenced from their corporate assets. Therefore, in the unlikely event of default, assets would be allocated to each client as the beneficial owner.
In addition, the FCA’s Client Asset Rules require both firms to perform regular checks to verify that investor assets held in trust are accurately recorded.
Platform Securities also have additional insurance policies in force to protect against financial loss caused by fraud or negligence.
When are valuations of your investments produced?
We send out quarterly valuations to all of our clients. Copies of these valuations will also be provided to your financial adviser.
When and how can I take income from my portfolio?
We can provide income in a variety of ways to suit almost all cases. This may include taking a natural yield from the portfolio, fixed amounts per month, or a combination of income methods. This will be discussed and arranged by your financial adviser, who will instruct Bowmore Asset Management on your income requirements.
