Introducing Jonathan

Jonathan is the Chief Investment Officer & Managing Director of Bowmore Asset Management. He is responsible for the determination and implementation of the investment management process, along with the development of innovative investment solutions to help our clients both now and in the future. 

Jonathan previously worked for more than 20 years with Brooks Macdonald where he held the position of Director – Head of Multi-Asset. He was responsible for the establishment and development of their model portfolio and multi-asset offerings and oversaw the rapid growth of the Multi-Asset Team since its inception in 2003 until his resignation in November 2020 when he was responsible for managing assets of around £2.5bn.  Jonathan’s role over the years saw him sit on the Asset Allocation committee as well as management committees for both the investment management business and distribution.  

Jonathan was recognised as one of the “Top 30 under 30” and “Top 40 under 40” advisers in wealth management in the UK (as awarded by Private Asset Managers [PAM]) and has regularly featured in Citywire’s top 100. 

The PAM initiatives identifies, recognises, introduces and promotes the rising stars of the private client wealth management world in the UK and UK Crown Dependencies.

No day is the same. Meeting and talking to people, knowing you’re helping them achieve their ambitions and financial goals.

How do you like to spend your time outside of work?

Golf / tennis / swimming and looking after two children and two dogs!

What made you decide to do the work you’re currently doing?

I knew people in the industry who loved their work.

What is one personal rule that you never break?

Family first.

France – French history and food.
